Tech Tip: Blog Profile

Have you guys heard the horror stories of certain companies asking for your password for all social media sites upon getting hired? I have, and even if it is myth or factual, it should definitely make us think about our online identities more critically. I chose to keep my profile on blogger because I feel it is important to be proud of  your work.

  1. I agree, Mary! I love my job, and the only reason I have this job is because I have been creating an online presence for years and years... and it's really paid off for me, personally, professionally, in every way. You are so lucky with your name: I am guessing it is very distinctive, right? The other Laura Gibbses who show up in Google are very nice: a lawyer, an artist, a reporter, etc. (I even went to junior high at a small school, just 150 students, but there was another Laura Gibbs: so confusing!!!) ... but having your very own name would be nice too, and you can put it on all the work you are proud of!
